We have a huge milestone to announce: we have finally inaugurated our new Commercial Kitchen. The use of the Rational Oven is going well and our staff are getting used to it which is great. The Rational oven cooks quicker, better, and with steam so that the meat is tender and vegetables keep their flavour. Our new induction hob is great and much easier and faster for our kitchen staff to regulate the heat. The Ecomax dishwasher includes a hood and a sliding work table: this makes it easier for our kitchen staff to put away the dirty dishes. We have a cold drinks station and a hot drink station so that traffic in the kitchen is reduced to a minimum to keep everyone healthy. We have an electric shutter on our big serving hatch to transfer food from the bain-marie into the dining room: this will keep the food warmer so that our residents enjoy their food even more. Finally, we are using gastronome fridges and freezers which means you can slide dishes and put them directly into the rational oven or bain-marie. This has been a labour of love in the planning and organising which was delayed due to Covid-19: it took us about 9 months to get there and I actually feel like I have just given birth! I am very proud of this project and even happier that it is finished!

The final step is the new extended dining room which is now being decorated. All new furniture is being delivered at end of this month!!
