Respite Care

Harbour Rise Care Home offers Respite care (short term care) for anyone who might need a short break, where care is provided 24/7. This could be recuperation to aid recovery after an illness or hospital stay, or an opportunity to ‘try out’ residential care for a short period, to help with future planning. Respite care can also provide carers a break from looking after a relative at home, offering a supportive and caring environment, allowing both parties to have a break.

Some families who are looking at going away for a well-deserved holiday might welcome the idea of their loved ones being looked after whilst they are away, although we do not have a designated respite room, so are unable to book in respite breaks in advance through the year.

Our Respite Care Residents are encouraged to be involved with the Harbour Rise Care Home’s community, enjoying the social activities, developing friendships as well as improving or maintaining life skills and quality of life…
