Harbour Rise Respite Care

Harbour Rise Care Home also offers Respite care (short term care). Local residents who need some recuperation to aid their recovery after an illness or hospital stay will welcome this service, which often provides carers a break from looking after a relative at home. Also families who are looking at going away for a well-deserved holiday might welcome the idea of their loved ones being looked after whilst they are away.

Harbour Rise is situated close to Paignton Harbour, with comfortable, bright and modern lounges, outstanding sea views and garden. All rooms are individual and include an ensuite, freshly decorated and with nice modern facilities. We pride ourselves with the recent remodelling of our ground floor completed in 2020. The renovation included a wonderful bright dining room, new commercial kitchen, Medication / treatment room and disabled toilets.

Harbour Rise has been owned by Cecile and Mark Edwards since 2007. Since their ownership of the home, Mr and Mrs Edwards have relentlessly improved the home, its environment and its enviable reputation. Harbour Rise is currently rated as Outstanding by CQC. Julia Welch is our Registered Manager. Harbour Rise does not use agency staff and its members of staff have been working for the home on average for about 10 years. Harbour Rise is privately owned and is not part of a chain. We are flexible and adaptable.

Harbour Rise offers a choice of menu with delicious home cooking catering for all dietary needs with coffee, tea and biscuits being provided in the mornings and afternoons.

Our Respire Care Residents are encouraged to be involved with the Harbour Rise Care Home’s community, enjoying the social activities, developing friendships as well as improving or maintaining life skills and quality of life. We offer a full entertainment programme

Extra services are also available at an additional charge such as dentistry, hairdressing, podiatry, physiotherapy, optician etc. We have full facilities and hoist equipment to assist with bathing if required.
