At Harbour Rise, we believe outstanding care starts with an outstanding team. Many of our staff have been part of our care home family for years, building strong relationships, trust and a real sense of belonging for residents and colleagues alike.
Earlier this month, one of those team members was treated to a well-deserved day out. As a Christmas thank-you, Mark took our much-valued colleague Kevin to watch Plymouth Argyle Football Club play Burton Albion. It proved to be a great choice, with Argyle coming away with an impressive 3–0 win.
Kevin has worked at Harbour Rise for almost ten years, supporting the home as both a minibus driver and kitchen assistant. He is one of those people who quietly goes above and beyond every day. Whether it’s helping residents get out and about, lending a hand in the kitchen, or stepping in wherever he’s needed, Kevin does it all with warmth, kindness and a genuine smile.
Mark’s son, Pierre, also joined them for the match, making it a lovely shared experience across generations – something we value deeply here at Harbour Rise. Moments like this reflect the strong sense of family and appreciation that runs through our home.
