Harbour Rise Care Home has been bursting with festive cheer this December as our dedicated team works tirelessly to create joyful experiences for residents, families, and friends. This year’s celebrations have been filled with warmth, community spirit, and unforgettable moments.
We opened the season with our vibrant Christmas Market, where residents and loved ones browsed a wonderful selection of stalls, including one run by one of our very own residents, proudly selling their beautiful paintings. One of our residents, Chris, sold several of his artworks on the day, a moment that filled him with pride and confidence. It was the perfect opportunity to begin Christmas shopping in a warm and welcoming atmosphere.
December has continued to sparkle with a series of fantastic Christmas shows, enjoyed with mulled wine and sherry to keep everyone cosy. Each performance has brought music, laughter, and festive magic into our home.
Residents also delighted in a special outing to see the Bays of Lights, an evening filled with colour and amazement that created cherished memories.
Inside the home, our cosy Christmas film sessions have given residents the chance to relax together with classic festive films and a warm drink. Our Christmas resident party and buffet was another highlight, bringing everyone together for delicious food, music, and lots of festive fun.
Some of the most heart-warming moments have come from residents sharing Christmas meals with their partners, with a few partners staying for an entire week to enjoy precious time together, and to make the season even more special, every resident will receive a personalised Christmas present, lovingly chosen by the Harbour Rise team to show how valued they truly are.
This festive season at Harbour Rise will be one to remember, full of joy, creativity, and togetherness.
