At Harbour Rise, we love celebrating the unique talents and passions of our residents, and Chris’s story is a wonderful reminder of how creativity can bring joy, purpose and confidence at any stage of life.
Chris discovered a love for painting just 10 years ago, taking it up as a hobby and gradually building a collection of colourful, expressive artwork. Since moving to Harbour Rise over a year ago, his creativity has continued to flourish, supported by a warm and encouraging community around him.
This December, Chris had a truly special moment. He showcased his artwork at our Christmas Market and proudly sold four of his paintings. The smile on his face said everything.
“Selling them has given me confidence… it makes everything better,” he shared.
For Chris, it wasn’t just about selling artwork. It was about being seen, valued and celebrated for something he loves doing. For us, it was a privilege to support him and to watch his pride grow as friends, families and visitors admired his work.
We’re delighted to share Chris’s story with you, and we hope it brings a little of the joy he brought to our Christmas Market.
