On this very rainy and windy day, I am sending my weekly email on our last day of the Easter Holiday. Apparently the weather is due to get better they say!
Easter weekend: we bought each one of our residents a lovely chocolate rabbit which went down very well indeed. Easter Sunday lunch was served in the dining room with the tables decorated with special napkins and Easter gift boxes, full of little treats. As you would expect, there were lots of bright and colourful Easter craft going on which then were displayed in the home throughout.
Despite the weather we still managed a bus trip out to Broadsands Beach and Goodrington Beach with a plan to sit and enjoy the sea and a cup of tea. Due to the rain, we retreated to the bus and enjoyed a sheltered cup of tea in the bus instead. That said, it was nice to go out and there will be plenty more bus trips to come!
The covid 19 booster jab team has been and gone and the majority of our residents have now received their Spring booster. The team will be back to finish the job for those who require it.
