Thank you to all of you who have responded to my email with regards whether we should carry on wearing face masks or not. Most families have agreed we should carry on wearing a face mask apart from one. I am still expecting more feedback but for now we have decided that despite the change in the legislation, we will carry on wearing our face masks until the Winter bugs have cleared. We have already heard from some of our care home colleagues in the bay who are now affected with serious outbreaks, covid, flu and norovirus, when they decided to stop wearing their face mask one day after the change in legislation. We have updated our policies and procedures accordingly. We can’t wait to get rid of our face masks but we need to do this at the right time for everyone.
