Paignton Fire Brigade – third and last trip

Nov 25, 2022

We have also had our final visit from the Paignton fire brigade on Thursday 24th November. This was their third visit in the last few weeks. Please find below a great testimonial which we received from their operational risk officer. We are very proud to be so proactive and working very hard against any fire – this is of course a big worry but we are doing everything we can to reduce the risk at Harbour Rise and to be prepared in the eventuality.

My name is JP and I work for the Devon and Cornwall Fire Service as a Operational Risk officer. I have visited Harbour Rise following the owners contacting the Paignton Fire Station to request that different ‘watches’ come out and familiarise themselves with the home. So far Blue watch and White watch have visited Harbour Rise and this has been very helpful to the local fire service. I contacted Mark Edwards the owner to come and also see the home in my operational capacity so that I can have details and get familiarised with the layout of the building, where we would park vehicles and access the premises, where water hydrants are located etc. The home mentioned that I could leave feedback if I so wished with CQC. I have been very impressed with Harbour Rise, it is a very friendly and a well run Care Home. All the staff are professional and their procedures are good and they are well organised. I found no issues at all and have no concerns.
