This week has been a good week if you like music at Harbour Rise, we have had visits from Luke the harpist on Tuesday, Amanda on Wednesday, Patrick on Thursday and Sean on Friday! Erich has also played her Ukulele on Thursday afternoon which is always a big hit with our residents. Amanda brought in her Monkey and this was a HUGE success based on the photos we have, they all seemed to be having a fantastic time! I have also added on the news part of our website the photos and videos of Louise the saxophonist who visited on Friday last week. We also thank Luke for taking his harp to play in some of our residents’ rooms who cannot visit the lounges.
Apart from the musical entertainment, we have enjoyed the return of the Octopus where residents jointly pull a sling. It is great for their muscles and eye to ball coordination when we add a ball on the octopus too. We also enjoyed a nice balloon tennis game, some amazing home-made milkshakes for extra nutritional value and thanked Linnie our hairdresser for coming in to give us all a nice trim and some pamperingÂ
We also had a bus trip to Daddyhole Plain to enjoy the scenic view of the bay. Despite the rainy weather, the trip was very positive and enjoyed by all.
