Our residents have enjoyed putting together 2 folders in memory of the late Queen Elizabeth II, in memory of her reign. May she rest in peace.
The autumnal craft is going very well and we have lots of nice touches decorating the lounges. We welcomed Louise our lovely Saxophone player and enjoyed singing and dancing. We also very much enjoyed Chrissie’s visit who is always as cheerful as ever. Chrissie got staff and residents dancing! Our residents enjoyed target games and of course the usual but super popular tennis game.
Our Friends and Family Meeting this Week
This week, we have also held our very first Friend and Family Meeting since the pandemic, which was well attended. It was a pleasure to welcome you all back to Harbour Rise. A few topics were discussed and the minutes will be available on the white board by the residents’ lounge – please do take a look at it.
The feedback was very positive. We will be holding the Friends and Family Meetings every 3 months. For me, the highlight of the meeting was that we were finally able to present all the changes that we have made to the home following the remodelling of the ground floor which was finished end of 2020. Some comments were the flow of the home was much better and the home felt much brighter.
We got to introduce the office team, including Hannah our new Operations Manager who joined us on Monday and Shaun our new office assistant who has been with us for one month. It was nice for Lisa to be able to meet you at the meeting too.
Our Christmas Market
Last but not least: please remember that we will hold our Christmas market on Friday 25th November at 6pm. If you want to have a stall to sell Christmassy things, it is FREE! But please do let me know as I will be actively booking them in October.
