The main highlight though was Joan turning 100 and she received a special letter from the Queen. Joan asked for a fruit cake for her birthday cake, and we organised a lovely afternoon tea with cakes stands displaying homemade scones, various small delicate sandwiches and cakes on Thursday afternoon. Our residents made a nice card for her, and we all signed a huge card to congratulate her too!
