This week, another member of staff has tested positive to Covid-19. However, given the positive result of the test, we tested all our residents. We are delighted that all our residents have tested negative. Although we have 2 members of staff who have caught Covid-19 over the last 2 weeks, PHE has deemed their cases NOT to be connected and therefore we have not had to go into Outbreak. Covid-19 boosters are being organised: the Torbay Care Home Visiting Service will once again be visiting all Torbay care homes during the autumn, to undertake the vaccination of residents and staff. They will start vaccinating care homes from the 4th October. Residents will be offered both their COVID-19 booster AND flu vaccine in the care home.
