This week, our residents have enjoyed arranging flowers, doing jigsaws, playing games and doing exercises: they all got together into the new dining room forming a circle and working out arm muscles with the “Octopus” – stretchy and colourful fabric to pull all together. Our residents were happy and engaged, singing very loud!
Of course, I am sure the highlight for this week was…. Watching England qualifying for the Euro 2020 football final. Our residents enjoyed a few glasses of wine and beer, and many flags were being waved. We had decorated the lounge with English flags on the wall, trying to make it feel like a pub!
We are all hoping for a final victory on Sunday. We will all keep our fingers crossed, hope you celebrate in style too, keep safe!
And of course we will celebrate the finals of Wimbledon in style with strawberries, clotted cream and Prosecco! What an exciting weekend ahead!
