Our residents enjoyed doing something a bit different. Kim and Lorna gathered the residents into a circle in the dining room and worked on sensory stimulation, singing the Hokey Cokey, blowing bubbles, playing music and using the octopus and the ball for physical exercise and fun! The circle allowed the interactions to be very intimate and a few residents opened up about their past experiences. We learnt that Trevor used to be a an engineer and he made machines to weave carpet for Brinton carpets. Madge informed us that her sister who was 11 months apart was in the same school year, and that children could not work out how that was possible despite Madge and her sister not being twins! Hilda, Max and Trevor thanked the lounge assistants for making it so enjoyable. Well done everyone!
