Thank you so much for all your gifts to our staff and wonderful donations to our staff fund. The amount in the staff fund has allowed us to give each member of staff (we have 60 staff at the time of writing) who have been employed for most of this year a lovely amount of £25 each. This is a very nice gift for our staff to receive and we are very grateful to you all. On top of this, we have also given a bonus for each member of staff to thank them for working so hard this year. Without a doubt 2020 has been a challenge, and it is not over. We wanted to make sure that our staff feel appreciated which is why we have created a larger than normal thank you bonus, the staff fund and the presents you brought in too. Despite what is going on outside, there is a lovely festive atmosphere here.
You have all been busy wrapping up wonderful treats for your relatives who will receive your presents on Christmas day. We will try and send you photos of it after Christmas although this could be very tricky with all our residents unwrapping their presents at the same time! We have never seen so many presents!
At Harbour Rise, we also give a gift to each resident from a nominated member of staff, this is a long standing tradition at Harbour Rise. Therefore, each resident will have at least one gift to open. We also organise a Secret Santa for staff too, so this week will be a huge time for giving and receiving – must be Christmas!!
