This week, we have also organised our very first ‘You Tube’ entertainment with one of our regular singers: George Tozer. George has provided entertainment to Harbour Rise residents for many years, he is from London originally and his specialism is Matt Monro ‘The man with the golden voice’ and asked whether we should try to organise a live singing session via You Tube. And so we did! On Thursday, George appeared before our eyes on our new digital TV in our new dining room. The residents were not phased in the slightest with this experience, in fact it was harder on our staff as we had to set it all up and you know how technology does not always go to plan… Eventually it did work and it was wonderful to see George again although Sylvia P said “he has aged during lockdown!”. It was a really nice experience and nice to be able to see a familiar face. We have another session lined up with Patrick Jervis on Monday 30th November in the afternoon. Patrick is also one of our regular entertainers. I wonder whether Sylvia will also say that he has aged! We have also booked a pantomime for Christmas Eve via You Tube.
