Wear Red for SEPSIS AWARENESS 2019

by | Jul 19, 2019

Everyone was encouraged to wear something red for the day…. Whether that was clothing, a wig a piece of ribbon, shoelaces or any bit of red was appreciated. Donation boxes were placed in communal areas and will be available over the next few days if you would like to make a donation. There were balloons and badges to and we all had some fun.

Sepsis, which is blood poisoning, can be triggered by an infection or an injury. It can reduce blood supply to the body’s vital organs and in turn cause organ failure. In the UK alone , over 30,00 people die from the condition with approximately 100,000 admitted to hospital.

This is a subject very close to our hearts as a member of our team is a survivor of Sepsis.

Look out for 18th October Wear it Pink for Breast Cancer
