This week, I would like to confirm that Julia Welch started work at Harbour Rise on Wednesday 18th August. Julia will be our new registered manager once she has settled in.
I am pleased to confirm that for the second year running, Harbour Rise has received an award from Carehome.co.uk. We are part of the top 20 care homes in the South West, the only one in the Bay. We are very pleased to receive this award and want to say a big thank you to all of you who have given some feedback to carehome.co.uk about our care home.
This week, our residents have enjoyed the visit of Chrissie on Monday which they always enjoy singing along to. The octopus has returned too, and many big group activities have been organised including singing, quiz etc. The weather is expected to brighten up after Saturday, so hopefully we will be able to enjoy the garden a bit more at last.
We have a few residents that are unwell and our thoughts go to their families.
