Our week

National Day of Reflection
On Wednesday 23rd March, we all got together to reflect on Covid. 23rd March was the second anniversary since the start of the first national COVID-19 lockdown and a national day of reflection – a time to look back and remember the lives lost, contemplate the lives changed and reflect on the extraordinary commitment of our communities over the past two years. We held a minute of silence which felt like an eternity as so many sad thoughts were being processed. Following this, the staff were thanked greatly for going above and beyond what we could have ever asked of them. We all clapped each other and we hope that we are not going to have to go through this again for a long long time, hopefully never.

Back to some Normality!
So this week we have managed to get our wonderful entertainer Amanda back and she sang from the balcony to our residents. It was really nice to do something normal. The weather has been beautiful and some of our residents have actually been out to sunbathe!

Mothers’ Day
We will be celebrating Mother’s day in style and we have gorgeous flowers all around the home which we have bought. Your flowers have started to arrive and they look fabulous. There will be a cream tea organised for Sunday afternoon which we all know is one of our residents’ favourites!
