Harbour Rise wins Excellence in Customer Service at South Devon Business Awards 2019

On Thursday 10th October 2019, the Harbour Rise Team attended the English Riviera International Centre, Torquay for the South Devon Business Awards. The team who attended included the Manager Alison who has been at the home for 32 years and Head of Care Natasha Wilkins who has been at the home for 21 years as well as other long serving members of staff were all excited as they had been shortlisted in the category of ‘Excellence in Customer Service’. We were up against some very good and well established businesses, everyone was so nervous as the envelope was opened but nervousness changed to elation as Harbour Rise were declared winners!

The organisers spoke to owners Mark and Cecile Edwards after the Excellence in Customer Service award was presented and advised them the decision was unanimous amongst the judges, with praise for the recent Outstanding CQC rating which puts the home in the top 3% of Care Homes in England.

This award is testament to every member of the Harbour Rise team, many of the staff have been at Harbour Rise for more than 20 years. “We are delighted,” Mark and Cecile said on the night. “We are a family business, and this is all about the wonderful long standing staff team we have.”
